YUICHI HIRAKO
Yuichi Hirako creates art centered on the coexistence of plants, nature, and humans, as well as the ambiguities and questions that arise within that relationship. Prompted by a sense of unease regarding the definition of “nature” as plants controlled by humans—such as houseplants, street trees, and plants planted in parks—he explores the boundaries between nature and humans in contemporary society through his artwork. While his practice centers on painting, his range of expressive techniques is diverse, encompassing drawing, sculpture, installation, and sound performance.

Conceived as a creative laboratory, the Éditions Nomades invite artists to reinterpret the iconic porcelain Mug Nomade by featuring one of their works on its surface. Each collaboration results in a unique, non-reissued edition, making every piece a singular creation at the intersection of art, design, and everyday use.
