we+ is a contemporary design studio founded in 2013 by Toshiya Hayashi and Hokuto Ando, known for its research-based, experimental approach. As ink naturally separates and diffuses through the movement of water, it creates delicate gradients, layered colours, and organic patterns. This phenomenon forms part of Nature Study, our ongoing research project exploring the intelligence of natural processes and our relationship with the environment. Conceived as a creative laboratory, the Éditions Nomades invite artists to reinterpret the iconic porcelain Mug Nomade by featuring one of their works on its surface.
