1783, original is housed in the National Ceramics Museum in Sèvres, France
The painter Denis Levé and the gilder Jean-Jacques Dieu marry diverse influences in this surprising creation by the Sèvres workshops. Here we find the purple color of the Meissen porcelain, Chinese images fashionable at the time and the abundant use of gold emblematic of Sèvres. An additional note of originality: this Chinese scene plays delightfully in a garden that perfectly imitates copper enamel objects.
Made in Limoges, France ⚑
