The motifs are directly influenced by the latest trends in decoration and design. They capture the popular colors, material and patterns that are then applied to actual shapes. They can appear as a traditional composition that appeals to couples establishing their bridal registry, as well as pieces that are more functional, but make you want to have others. The collections often set the ambiance of the room in which they are found.
Olivier Gagnère is one of the designers who has been working with Bernardaud for many years. In 1993, he created a unique cup whose singularity is to match all tables and uses. Since then, his creations punctuate the history of the manufacture - such as the goblet and the mug that he rehabilitates on the table. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of this iconic cup, Olivier Gagnère imagines a new decor: Delphos & Knossos. It comes in several colors and may be used for dessert, snack and other sweat moments.
Rouge Empereur is the result of long hours of research and experimentation in the Manufacture Bernardaud workshops. It combines two exceptional know-how that animate the greatest ceramists since the dawn of time:high fired glazes to produce this «cracked» texture revealing here and there the whiteness of porcelain and this magnificent red blood color, probably one of the most difficult colors to master in ceramics.
Sol is a cheery, luminous collection in an unequivocally contemporary style.
Particularly bright and resistant glazes - blue jeans and straw yellow, have been researched to decorate these plates. They will harmoniously combined with White Organza.
‘‘During my stay in Brazil, photography quickly took an important place. I started to apply a method to my shots with a square frame, which gradually gave life to a body of images... My goal with Oscar was to report the multiple universes of this country. Thus, the graphic frames take up the rhythms of Oscar Niemeyer’s iconic contemporary architecture and the colors are those of the city. In the end, Oscar is a work of research between form, color and material to transcribe the vitality so characteristic of a country that fascinated me’’.
A young graduate from Ecole Camondo in Paris, Joy de L’Hermite recounts the sources of inspiration for this new collection which is a first collaboration with Bernardaud.
The In Bloom collection by Zemer Peled is the result of an encounter between a talented young artist and exceptional craftsmanship. During her residency at the Manufacture Bernardaud, Zemer Peled spent time observing and understanding the complexity of creating a porcelain piece. It is with great enthusiasm that she became interested in the know how of decoration, alongside an expert who has been working at Bernardaud for more than 30 years. She learned to perform a quick, precise gesture and to perfectly control the pressure of her brush to achieve the desired effect: a decor where you feel the gesture and texture.
