What’s new? Ceramics. Celebrated by potters and artists alike for centuries, used by artists, craftsmen and industries, ceramics’ amazing properties appear to strikingly match our era. Its variety of usage, its solidity, its complexity are the rarest of virtues in today’s age. This is why luxury brands and contemporary artists, among others, have rediscovered ceramics, in particular porcelain.
None have better understood the enduring virtues of ceramics and porcelain than Bernardaud. The legendary Limoges porcelain maker has provided open table to contemporary artists and craftsmen to help them free their creative spirits. In exchange, creators have infused Bernardaud with new forms and motives that have made it more relevant than ever in its 161-years old history. Japan, with its brilliant legacy in ceramics and vibrant craft and art scene, is a key part of this journey.
