Rooted in the tradition of Japanese calligraphy, I expand its expressive possibilities to convey emotion, the beauty of nature, and the passage of time. I value the stories created through a single brushstroke and the beauty of empty space, working across art, design, spaces, porcelain, film, and products. Alongside exhibitions in Japan and abroad, I have collaborated with luxury brands and traditional crafts, continually exploring new possibilities for Japanese calligraphy. Through my work, I hope to connect people and cultures, bringing art naturally into everyday life and creating moments of warmth and quiet beauty.

« For this mug, I chose the Japanese character 「楽」 (Raku) as the starting point of my work. The character represents not only joy, but also harmony, richness of spirit, and the connection between people. The blue on the mug reflects the sky I looked up at in Limoges. Into that blue, I layered the memories of the people I met, the atmosphere of the place, and the moments we shared, expressing them through a single brushstroke and the beauty of empty space.
