“While looking at the horizon of Jeju Island, I wanted to mix colors of the sky and the ocean. So I created the color with a lot of white in it. When I finished the work, I found myself breathing deeply in front of it, so I called it Air Color.”

Presenting the porcelain print for the first time, the artist wanted to perpetuate the colors of nature with the permanence of porcelain. The challenge for Bernardaud was to faithfully recreate the fine lines of the original work in relief and to relay the power of the colors desired by the artist.
